Join us in creating the highlight moments of the international figure skating competitions this autumn and spring! The highly anticipated Grand Prix Finlandia Trophy Helsinki will take place at the Helsinki Ice Hall from November 15th to 17th, 2024. In the spring, on April 4th and 5th, 2025, the same venue will host the Synchronized Skating World Championships.

The success of these events relies on our fantastic volunteers, whose role in organizing the competitions is invaluable. Once again, we need numerous volunteers to help make these events a success, providing athletes with the best conditions to perform and offering visitors an unforgettable experience. Volunteering is rewarding for the volunteers themselves, and the cheerful atmosphere is contagious in a great team. Time flies in these tasks, and laughter echoes through the air.

There are many different roles available, from social media management to event setup, and from guiding the audience to assisting athletes. We are looking for volunteers for various teams working behind the scenes at the ice hall, hotel, and even the airport. Each team has its own experienced team leader responsible for training volunteers and answering practical questions. Previous experience in event organization is beneficial, but we also welcome first-time volunteers.

The most important qualities for a volunteer are a cheerful and service-oriented attitude, reliability, and a desire to offer the best possible experience for event visitors—even during long competition days. Preference in volunteer selection will be given to those who can participate throughout the entire competition (Fri-Sun). Please note that depending on the role, some work may start before the official competition days and may continue until the day after the competition ends. Volunteers must be of legal age when they begin their duties.

In line with the nature of volunteering, this is an unpaid position, and volunteers are responsible for their own accommodation and travel expenses. Volunteers working long shifts will receive a warm meal daily. A volunteer café, funded by the organization, is available to all volunteers regardless of shift length. Volunteers are also free to watch the competitions outside of their working hours.
