What is this competition?

The 2025 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships® is an international competition organized by the International Skating Union (ISU). It’s a prestigious event where synchronized skating teams from around the world compete at the highest level. The 2025 competition will bring together the best teams globally, all aiming to win the title of World Champion in Synchronized Skating. The event will take take place April 4-5, 2025, and will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Synchronized Skating, as well as all pertinent ISU Communications.

Where and when will the ISU Synchronized Skating World Championships® 2025 take place?

The competition will be held on April 4–5, 2025, at Helsinki Ice Hall.

Where do I purchase tickets?

The tickets will be on sale October 10, 2024 at 10.00 am. (UTC+3). Presale tickets will be available on October 1, 2024, at 10am (UTC+3).

How do I participate in the presale?

All those who purchased tickets for the Marie Lundmark Trophy event from the Lippu.fi online store received the right of first purchase for tickets to the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2025. More information will be sent by email before the presale to those who purchased their tickets from the Lippu.fi online store.

How can I secure seats in the audience?

The last time the World Synchronized Skating Championships were held in Finland was in the spring of 2019. At that time, the demand for tickets was so high that they sold out in less than an hour. Therefore, we recommend trying to purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale and ensuring you have the best possible internet connection.

Do children require a ticket?

Children under 4 years old do not need tickets if they do not require a seat. If they need their own seat, tickets must be purchased.

When will I know where my seats are located?

You will be advised of your seat location when you purchase your ticket.

What procedure is used to allocate tickets?

Ticket allocation is based on best available seating at the time of purchase.

Why are my seats flagged as being partially obstructed?

Due to the construction of the two-tiered judges’ stand, commentator platforms, kiss and cry and the installation of television cameras, some seats may become partially obstructed in these areas. Finnish Figure Skating Association attempts to predict which seats may or may not be obstructed before tickets go on sale however it is uncertain which seats will be obstructed until on-site construction is complete at the event.

Is there a group sale available?

No separate group sale is being arranged. You can purchase a maximum of 10 tickets at a time from the online store.

Where is the Kiss and Cry located?

The Kiss and Cry area will be located in front of section D2.

Where is the judges’ stand located?

The judges’ stand will be constructed in C4 section.

When will I receive my tickets in the mail?

All tickets will be delivered immediately after you have bought them. Read more about delivery methods and prices Lippu.fi.

Are tickets transferable or refundable?

Tickets are not refundable or transferable. Please note, that the schedule and the teams competing are always subject to change.

Can the tickets be sold?

Ticket resales are conducted through fanSale. FanSale opens once public ticket sales have started.

What do I do if my tickets are lost or stolen?

If you have misplaced or have had your tickets stolen, contact Lippu.fi .

GENERAL INFORMATION

Gifts and flowers to skaters

There are separate boxes for teams’ flowers and gifts, through which the gifts are delivered to the teams after the competition.

Safety and items allowed at the Arena

It is forbidden to bring own drinks or meals to the arena. The restaurant services of the arena are available during events, and sweet and savoury snacks are available every day. A refillable water bottle is allowed.

When required, the ticket holder has to prove their identity.
Spectators not obeying by the regulations can be removed from the ice hall by event staff.

Firearms, multifunctional tools, drugs, explosives, fireworks, pets etc. are forbidden in the Helsinki Ice Hall.

Baby carriages, strollers and cloakroom

There is no separate storage space in the arena for strollers or outdoor clothing/luggage.

Exhibitors

There are exhibitor stands on the first floor of the Helsinki Ice Hall that are open to the public during the competition. 

Advertaising and Promotion

Any kind of advertising and promotion by a non-event organizer or their official partners is forbidden. Promotional materials that show competing brands, businesses or events are not allowed at the Helsinki ice hall. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please contact salla.makela@stll.fi

Taking photos and video recording

You can take photos from your own seat without disturbing other spectators. The camera devices should also not produce any sound while taking pictures.

If you come to watch the competitions in person, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the audience video recording rules. Video recording by the audience during the competition is restricted: an external party or private individual is not allowed to broadcast the entire competition or complete performances in real-time on a public channel.

Is it allowed to leave the arena during the event?

Yes, however, it’s important to always keep your ticket with you in order to re-enter the arena. Please check with the staff when leaving in case you need a special pass.

Is smoking allowed at the event venue?

Helsinki Ice Hall is a non-smoking building. Smoking is only permitted outside in designated areas.
